Cinematic Arts & Theatre - Scholarships
General Scholarship Information
The Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Department of Cinematic Arts and Theatre offers a variety of scholarships to incoming students as well as sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in the program. Requirements vary by individual scholarship.
Gladys Shepard Endowed Scholarship
Gladys Shepard Endowed Scholarship is for incoming freshmen who are declared as Cinematic Arts and Theatre majors. Students must have an ACT composite score of at least 20 and a high school GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale. An audition/interview is required.
Edith Hand & George Lindsey Endowed Scholarships
The Hand and Lindsey scholarships are awarded to sophomores, juniors or seniors who are declared first as Cinematic Arts and Theatre majors. Recipients must be enrolled full-time and have a 2.5 GPA. Recipients are also selected based on their contributions to the department.
Frank Mosier Endowed Scholarship
The Mosier Scholarship is awarded to a junior who will be a senior at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ prior to attending graduate school in Cinematic Arts and Theatre. Recipients are also selected based on their contributions to the department.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Fine Arts Merit Scholarships
For Cinematic Arts and Theatre majors, Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Fine Arts Merit Scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen or transfer students accepted unconditionally by Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ (by February 1st) with a GPA of at least 2.75. An audition/interview is required.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Cinematic Arts and Theatre Departmental ScholarshipsTheatre scholarships are awarded to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Cinematic Arts and Theatre majors based on an audition/interview/portfolio and require participation in Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ Cinematic Arts and Theatre productions as assigned by faculty.
Application Process and Requirements
Applications will be considered on the basis of academic merit, talent, character and demonstrated achievement in or more areas of cinematic arts and theatre. Students may be an incoming freshman or transferring from another institution. All applicants must enroll as full-time students majoring in Cinematic Arts and Theatre. All scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin or disability.
